Life impacts trading more than you think
I have a saying that goes:
“If you’re not the best at everything you do, you fall short in anything you do”
What I mean by this:
For example, if you’re a trader/learning, go to the gym, have a family, work a job, hobby. friends…
If one of these is going wrong its weighing down the rest, bad day at the job/fired → not in the mood for friends and family, trading is lethargic or you’re not all there, gym session will be shit. Then it starts snowballing the other parts of your life, you start slowing down, you start slowing down and your tempo that you built is over. Then you start having thought loops and you stagnate and now you’re stuck in this inescapable limbo where you’re “moving forward” but really you’re just running in place.
If things go wrong in your day to day life, the BAD THING will impact the rest.
Just like one cup overflowing. Knowing how to detach from bad things happening in your life and or fixing them is key.
This is just one of the ways that your life impacts your trading.
Another is the way you move and act in life.
I will bet everything I have that 99% of you act one of these 2 ways:
Your conversations are fast, the way you move around is fast, anxious day to day, jumpy, no order, spazzing sort of like a hamster or a mouse in the wild.
or
You’re too slow, bumming around, like a snail or a sloth, worming through life, a couch dweller, a house plant, in your head, looping.
You need to find your core issue and solve it.
In trading you need to be a predator and not prey.
How to do this I will reveal to you in my next letter…
